Shed Removal & Demolition in Greater Boston & MetroWest Massachusetts

Got an old shed you're done with? We tear it down and haul it away in one trip — no demo contractor, no separate dumpster, no leftover debris. We connect you with vetted crews who handle both the demolition and the haul-away in a single visit.

Demo + Haul — One Trip, One Price

All-in pricing covers the crew, demolition labor, and disposal. No separate demo quote, no dumpster rental. We bring the tools to break it down and a truck to haul it away. Cleanup is included — no debris left behind.

    Shed Types We Remove

    • Wood sheds (including rotted/deteriorated)
    • Metal / steel sheds
    • Plastic / vinyl / resin sheds
    • Lean-to structures attached to fences or houses
    • Sheds on concrete pads (slab not included unless discussed)

Wood sheds are by far the most common removal job in Newton and MetroWest — most of the ones we tear down were built in the 1970s or 80s and have been deteriorating for years. Rotted wood, rusted hardware, partially collapsed walls — none of that is a problem. In some ways a rotted shed is easier to break down than a solid one. Metal sheds come apart quickly. Vinyl and resin sheds are lightweight and fast to remove. Whatever you have, we've done it.

    How Shed Removal Works

    1

Send a photo or book online

A photo of the shed and your yard access is usually enough to quote the job. That 1970s wood shed leaning against the back fence in your Belmont yard, the rusted metal shed behind the garage in Needham — send us a picture and we can give you a ballpark before we arrive.

    2

    Get an upfront, all-in estimate

The crew shows up, assesses the shed size, condition, and access, and gives you one price covering demolition, loading, and haul-away. That's the number. Nothing added for the demo labor, nothing added for cleanup.

    3

We demo, load, and clean up

We tear it down, load every piece of debris, and sweep the area before we leave. No pile of rotted wood left behind, no concrete anchor blocks sitting in the grass. The footprint is clear. Most standard sheds are done in 1–3 hours.

    How Pricing Works

Shed removal pricing is based on the size of the structure and whether demolition is required (it almost always is). A small 8x8 metal shed and a large 12x20 wood shed with a concrete pad are priced differently. All-in means all-in: the crew, the demo labor, the debris removal, and the cleanup are one price. Your crew confirms the number before they start. Concrete pad removal, if needed, is discussed separately — it requires different equipment and is not standard.

    Do You Need a Permit?

In most Newton and MetroWest towns, removing a shed under a certain size doesn't require a permit. Generally, if a permit wasn't required to build it, one isn't required to take it down. When in doubt, we can advise — or you can confirm with your town's building department. Either way, we handle the physical work.

    Serving Greater Boston

We serve Newton, Watertown, Waltham, Belmont, Brookline, Needham, Wellesley, and surrounding towns. Newton's older residential properties are full of sheds that outlived their usefulness — 40-year-old wood structures that are now an eyesore or a safety issue. We clear them fast.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do you demolish the shed or do I need to take it apart first?

We demolish it. You don't need to do anything except let us access the yard. We bring tools, take it apart, load the debris, and haul everything away.

What if the shed is rotted or collapsed?

Rotted, collapsed, or otherwise deteriorated sheds are not a problem. In some ways, they're easier to break down. We load everything and haul it away regardless of condition.

Do you remove the concrete pad?

Concrete pad removal is not standard — it's a separate job with different equipment. If you need the pad removed too, let us know during the estimate and we can discuss options.

How much does shed removal cost?

Most standard wood or metal sheds run $200–$500 depending on size and condition. Larger structures or those with concrete pads may run higher. We give you an upfront price before we start.

Do I need to empty the shed before you arrive?

No — but it helps to know what's inside. If the shed contains hazardous materials (old paint cans, propane tanks, gas containers), let us know ahead of time. We can't haul hazardous waste, but we can advise on how to handle it before the removal day.

How long does shed removal take?

Most standard wood or metal sheds take 1–3 hours from arrival to cleanup. Larger structures or those with challenging access (close to fences, on a slope, near utility lines) may take longer. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when we quote the job.
